Continuing with my IK tendril tutorial, I borrowed this Mixamo model to demonstrate them in live 3D action.
See how the joint segments move alongside the humanoid mesh? By parenting the 4 tendrils' armatures to the humanoid's, specifically the chest bone, the IKs move simultaneously with their parent rig.
The imagined professional end result can be seen above: a set of tendril armatures that partially synchronize their movements with the parent humanoid armature.
Be mindful with rotating and moving the axes of the IKs; for you will have no control of how or which direction the tendrils' row of segments will bend towards. Hopefully, the tutorial will describe a solution to this tomorrow.
